Stanley Middell died from unspecified causes on 30th April, 1915, while in England. The 13th London battalion of 25 Brigade, 8th Division had been in France since November, 1914 and had been engaged in the Battle of Neuve Chapelle in March 1914 but it is not known if he had served in France with the battalion.
